The Setting

The moment I arrived to photograph Jenn and Steve’s San Ysidro Ranch elopement, I instantly felt a sense of relaxation. From the lavender fields to the sweeping olive trees to the vibrant bougainvillea … this exclusive resort is picture perfect. I truly couldn’t imagine a more serene backdrop for Jenn and Steve’s dreamy San Ysidro Ranch Elopement.

The Details

Sometimes life’s happiest moments and life’s saddest moments have a way of coinciding.  I believe these are the moments that help us cherish and appreciate the dichotomy of life.  As we all know, the pandemic turned our world upside down.  Jenn and Steve were one of the many couples who had to postpone their wedding.  However, their plans had to adapt even more when Jenn’s father, who had been battling severe illness took a turn for the worse.

Jenn shared a very special relationship with her father.  She couldn’t imagine experiencing this huge milestone without him by her side.  Therefore, they decided to host an intimate micro wedding with their immediate families to ensure that Jenn’s father could walk her down the aisle and witness her marrying the man of her dreams.  This day was so full of meaning and emotion and I know Steve and Jenn will look back on this day with such comfort knowing that her father was able to give her away as she and Steve embark on their lives together as a married couple.
