Cheers to 2019

Happy New Year Everyone!!

As we head into 2019, I want this year to be a year of intention. I know that’s easy to say on the first of January when everyone is excited for a fresh start. And while it can be challenging to remain as focused as the year goes on, I think that’s when it’s most important to be intentional. To be self-aware enough to acknowledge where you’re at, assess what needs to change & create a plan of attack to get you back on track.

I read a quote that my dear friends posted this morning & I think it’s the perfect reminder that while certain circumstances are beyond our control, we do have a choice in how we live the life we’ve been given

“The best way to predict the future is to create it.”

- Abraham Lincoln

So my intentions for 2019 are as follows:

  • To grow

  • To overcome

  • To be more kind

  • To be more forgiving

  • To be less reactive

  • To be more patient

  • To learn to let things go

  • To be more grateful

  • To be less pessimistic

  • To be less emotional

  • To stop taking things so personally

Sometimes I just need to take a breath, be present enough to address why I’m feeling the way I am & adjust my perspective. And I don’t mean just sweeping the way I feel under the rug, but rather, I need to learn to move forward & not harbor frustration, anger or resentment.

What are your intentions this year?

Let’s do this 2019!!

Lifestyle Newborn Session | Santa Clarita | Welcome to the world Taylor!

What can I say ... this newborn session stole my heart.  Baby Taylor was welcomed into the sweetest family, a beautiful home (filled with TONS of gorgeous natural light ... my absolute FAVE), & the cutest big brother a little girl could ask for.

Rustic Maternity Session | Valencia, CA | The Moll Family

I had the honor of photographing my beautiful friend & fellow photographer Laura & all of her boys ... all 3 to be exact.  We lucked out with the first cool day of the season & were very grateful to have avoided the 100+ degree temps we had been experiencing just days earlier.
